How much does it cost to play?Registration is 75$ per child
Additional siblings receive a $5 discount.
Are there additional fees or fundraisers?
No. There are no other fees. We respect your time and know that every family lives on a budget. We do do any additional fundraisers.
Do you accept donations?
Most certainly. We strive to maintain player registration fees as low as we can while maintaining the quality experience that each player gets. Your generous support will allow us to reach more families and to provide nice equipment for our players.
What equipment will my child need?
Each player needs shin guards and their own water bottle. Cleats are recommended as the field can be slippery, but they are not required. Soccer balls and equipment are provided by the league.
When does registration start?
Registration opens April 15th and can be done entirely online from the comfort of your home. Registration is open until April 15th. There is an automatic $15 late fee applied for sign-ups starting May 5th. Spaces are limited so register early. If we are full your child will go on our waiting list.
What if I register and the session gets cancelled due to Covid-19?
When you register, please click "pay by check" in order to pay later. This allows you to sign on to your account at a later date to pay for the season and you will still be able to use your credit card. If the season gets cancelled before your have paid, no refund will be necessary and your registration will automatically be cancelled. Fees must be paid by May 15th, unless otherwise directed due to changes related to covid-19. A roster spot will be held for your player if you register and pay later, as long as you pay by the May 15th due date. If you decide to pay by credit card while registering, all player fees will be collected at the time of registration. However, in the case the season gets cancelled due to Covid-19, players will be only be refunded $60 due to fees that have already been paid out on behalf of the player that the league cannot get back. In these uncertain times, we recommend paying later when things have settled in an attempt to avoid a loss of funds with a partial refund.
What is the refund policy for pee wees?
Lil' Saints offers $60 refunds per player for all registrations cancelled within 3 weeks of the start date. Full refunds are not offered due to the fact that when a player registers funds are paid out in their behalf that the league cannot get back. Player cancellations that occur 1-2 weeks before the session start date will receive a 50% refund. There are NO refunds given within 6 days of the session start day. ** This year due to Covid-19, the refund window is extended ($60 refunds until May 15. 50% refunds May 16-18, no refunds once the session starts) In the event we have to cancel due to corona, we will notify each player no later than May 15th. *Please do not pay until you have been notified that the season is for sure happening.
When does the season start and end?
The spring session starts May 19th and goes til June 11th.
What days will the sessions be?
Tuesdays and Thursdays, May 19th- June 11th.
What time will the sessions be?
We will have two seperate session and families can sign up for the session time that works best for them. One session will be 10:00-11:00am, and the next session will be 11:15a-12:15p.
Where are the sessions?
All sessions will be held at Long Lake Park in Port Orchard. There is no travel involved in Lilβ Saints Soccer.
What does each session involve?
The experienced coaches have planned games and activities that help the children learn basic soccer skills including dribbling, passing, and shooting. We will start with a game and warm up activity all together followed by skill instruction. We will then play several fun games that help reinforce and teach the skill being taught that day. One session a week will also have a short scrimmage at the end. Every session will be filled with lots of fun and movement.
Why are parents expected to stay and help at least once?
We want to make sure each child gets the attention and instruction necessary to learn the sport and be involved. We often use extra parent help to assist children who are struggling to understand rules of the game or instruction i.e. how to line up, where to be, tie shoes, etc...
What if my child won't participate or is having a rough day?
We would ask parents to stay and help with their child to make sure they get what they need. We will do our best to make each child feel welcomed, involved, and to have fun.
What if my child is sick?We would like to keep everyone healthy so please keep them home.
Do we play if it's raining? Yes, soccer is a rain or shine sport so please dress appropriately for the weather. If it is a complete downpour, we will set up canopies and do games and activities under cover, but normal rain we will play in.
